Fun Bamboos: A Vibrant Textile Pattern Inspired by Oriental Mosaic Lamps

Uniquely Interwoven Elements and Geometric Shapes

This textile pattern, created by designers Inna Anishchenko and Anni Teriani, draws inspiration from the festive arabic mosaic lamps that are synonymous with the colorful bazaars and rich culture of the East.

The Fun Bamboos textile pattern is characterized by its interwoven elements, resembling the shape of bamboos, and its vibrant color palette. The vertical lines, known as Fun, mimic the structure of bamboo stalks, while the use of unusual colors adds a contemporary twist to this traditional giant woody grass. The pattern incorporates various geometric shapes, reminiscent of a mosaic, resulting in a visually striking and dynamic design.

The combination of different shades of orange, red, purple, and green creates a captivating and lively pattern. This versatile textile design is suitable for fashion clothing collections, bags, and accessories, and can be applied to different fabric bases, allowing for a range of creative possibilities.

The realization of the Fun Bamboos pattern involves a meticulous process. The designers experiment with new drawings, which are later transformed into prints. These final illustrations are then digitally printed onto natural fabrics such as cotton, silk, or textile bases with synthetic impregnations. This process ensures the accurate reproduction of each drawing element's vibrant colors and guarantees the durability of the materials. The printed fabric is then used to create fashion garments, bags, and accessories.

The Fun Bamboos pattern is part of the branded collection "Lovely Lines" by Anni Teriani. It was specifically designed for bags and accessories, adding a touch of vibrant elegance to the brand's offerings. With its unique blend of traditional and contemporary elements, this pattern stands out as a testament to the designer's creativity and dedication to bringing more colorful accents to the world.

The Fun Bamboos pattern was designed in Dubai, UAE, in 2018. It was included as one of the six color patterns in the "Lovely Lines" bags and scarves collection in 2019. The designer's research focused on exploring different colorways and textile bases to achieve the best possible result. Through experimentation and attention to detail, the Fun Bamboos pattern emerged as a vibrant and captivating design.

This design has received recognition for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Textile, Fabric, Textures, Patterns, and Cloth Design category in 2020. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate exceptional technical and creative skills while contributing to improvements in quality of life. The Fun Bamboos pattern is a testament to the designer's ability to incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology, making the world a more beautiful and vibrant place.
